Overview
Shuriken arena is a 2D Arena game that was created with the C++ DirectX 9 API. This solo project was created for 2 players with the goal of hitting each other with shurikens until the opponent dies. It is a fun, fast-paced game that will reveal the best ninja.
The goal of this project was to learn the capabilities of DirectX in 2D. This project was created for my SGPG210 210 2D Graphics Programming class and though the class was focused on graphics programming, I went ahead and made a game out of it.

What I've Learned:
  • DirectX 9 API
    • Rendering (Surfaces,Textures etc.)
    • Collision
    • Animation
  • Creation of a DirectX based Engine/Framework
    • Object-Oriented Programming Basics
  • Including Libraries in Visual Studio 2010
  • Tile-Based Flooring
